Another abbreviated weekend comes to an end.
I saw two films this weekend, The Expendables, which was a decent, mindless action adventure thing, and Scott Pilgrim versus the World, which started a bit slowly but eventually built up into something incredible.
Both left me wondering a few things:
The Expendables: Who did all the artwork in Sandra’s truck, and where can I get me some of that? Oh, and why do filmmakers insist on quick-cutting, shaky-cam, close-up camera work during the fight scenes? I can’t see a damn thing. (I specifically mean the one-on-one stuff.)
Scott Pilgrim: Should I read the comics? The fight scenes in Scott Pilgrim were clear and easy to see, interestingly choreographed, and fun.
