In Yellow.
All the other trees huddled together on the far side of the field.
But this one, for some reason, came all the way to the edge, let me pet it, let me feed it carrot sticks and apples.
This is Day 362 of 365 Days of Color. The last, final, end-of-it-all shot will be on Friday, the last day of the year.
We’ll say goodbye to 2010. We’ll say hello to 2011.
My 2011 Photo Projects:
Self-Portraits – one per week. See below for more about this.
Portraits – one per week. I might not post all of these, depending on the nature of the shoot and/or the subject. I expect many of these to be paid jobs as well as for-fun shoots. If you’re interested in having me do either with you, let me know. The challenge here will be finding people to shoot. Most people don’t respond well when you ask, “Do you mind if I shoot you?”
Third – one per week. These photos may at first not seem to go together thematically, but trust me, they do. There’s a goal at the end of this, to have a product of some sort, complete and ready to go by the end of the year. You’ll discover more as I discover more.
But John, you say, what about your 365 Day Project? What are you going to do every day in 2011? (Of course, you mean besides write.) Ah, but my 365 Day Project for 2011 is a bit tricky, and not photography-related, though you ought to see signs of it in the Self-Portraits. It’s the gym. 5 Days a week, with 2 floating days off, 1 hour a day. That’s the goal. I’m going to track it on paper. I may post updates here as well. No, this will not start on January 1. This is not a New Year’s Resolution. This will start later in January, after the photo projects have started, after I join a gym. There will be days I play racquetball instead, of something else I decide will be acceptable, and that’s okay. It’s all part of my becoming a Better Man. Let’s discover together what I’m really capable of.
(Go on, lie to me; tell me I’m perfect as I am.)
