The portrait project has been a lot of fun. Sometimes, it’s tough to find someone willing to pose; sometimes, it’s tough to schedule someone who’s willing to pay.
Sometimes, you toss a blanket over a pole to make a backdrop, you invite an art historian and a writer over for roasted potatoes, cheese, olives, and wine, and you break out the camera.
After Saturday night’s shoot (and some three bottles of wine), it was hard to select a single picture. There were many, of him and of her, and of the two together, but ultimately I went with the one I thought was most portrait of them all.
